We spent a lot of time thinking about one statement that captures what we want our patients and their owners to experience every time they walk through our door. “You’ll feel better here” not only became our motto, but also our philosophy. CityPets provides you with the highest quality comprehensive medical and dental care by a professional staff that always has your pet’s best interest at heart.

And since we’re a family-owned clinic, it’s only natural we treat our patients the same way. With respect, patience, compassion, and okay, maybe a few too many treats.

Dr. Jill Shook, DVM

Dr. Shook is a full-time veterinarian and a co-owner, along with her husband,
Jim Roberts and sister, Jenn Shook. She began working at Whetstone Point Inner Harbor Veterinary Hospital in 2003. In 2005 she pursued a lifelong dream when she and her family purchased the clinic and renamed it CityPets Veterinary Care & Wellness. She and Jim enjoy living
in Baltimore City with their 3 cats and
2 dogs. If you see them around the neighborhood (not like you could miss a Great Dane), stop by and say hi.

Jennifer Shook, Practice Manager

Bridgewater College of Virginia, 1999.

Jenn is co-owner of CityPets and our Practice Manager. She left the publishing world in 2005 to join CityPets and oversee the day-to-day operations of our clinic. A former Federal Hillite, Jenn now lives in Rodgers Forge with her new husband and their dog, Xander.

Lea Martin, Receptionist
A friendly face around here for the last
8 years, Lea keeps our practice running smoothly. She was a veterinary technician for almost 6 years before becoming a receptionist. An avid lover of all animals, Lea has a special fondness for ferrets, mice, rats, and hamsters. She makes room on her couch for an adopted Sheltie, Kipper and spoiled cat, Raven.
